The Golden Compass (Northern Lights - Philip Pullman) it just wasn't anything like the book. Scene's were changed round...all round flop for me, shame, they could have made the rest of the series if they had done it right.

I always read the first page of a book. If you have me hooked by the end of the first page I'm going to read it.
